NBA YoungBoy Walks Free After Utah Traffic Stop Sparks Drug Investigation

Okay, let’s talk about this. NBA YoungBoy recently found himself caught up in a tense traffic stop out in Utah. But here’s the kicker: this time, he walked away completely free and clear.
The Baton Rouge superstar, born Kentrell Gaulden, was just a passenger when Utah Highway Patrol pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 15. The reason? Suspected drug activity. Things could have gone left fast, but they didn’t. Youngboy wasn’t arrested, wasn’t cited, and faced absolutely no charges.
Utah Highway Patrol Sergeant Mike Alexander confirmed that the trooper had good reason to search the car. When they did, drugs were indeed found. But guess what? They weren’t on YoungBoy. A male driver and a female passenger took ownership of the stash instead.
Alexander stated that after talking with the Utah County Attorney’s Office, charges are being considered against *those two* individuals for drug possession.
Yup, that means YoungBoy is in the clear on this one.
Of course, investigators also found cash in the car, which always raises a few eyebrows. But Alexander made it explicitly clear: no proven link between the money and the drugs. Period. No extra drama added.
For now, the names of the driver and the other passenger are being kept private by authorities.
Now, let’s be real. YoungBoy, who’s 26 and has been living in Utah, isn’t a stranger to the legal system there. Just last year, he faced prescription drug fraud accusations and paid a hefty $25,000 fine. Plus, he’s done time before for firearm possession as a felon. So, yeah, his presence at this stop had everyone wondering if this was about to blow up into something much bigger.
But Sergeant Alexander says that’s simply not the situation this time around.
When directly asked if Gaulden’s past could somehow complicate things now, Alexander firmly stated he wasn’t aware of any charges being considered against the rapper for this incident.
