On a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian got candid about the brutal intensity of studying for the California Bar. The stress wasn’t just mental; it took her out physically, too. She even said she straight-up injured herself while locked in study mode.
“I threw my back out,” Kim confessed. “It feels like every time I get to another step, something pulls me back.” The SKIMS mogul kept it 100, expressing how truly overwhelming it felt. “There are all these roadblocks, and I’m not one for a pity party, but last night, I was like, ‘Why is this happening? I can hardly walk!'”
That moment of pain and tears, though, brought her a deeper appreciation for her late father, the legendary attorney Robert Kardashian. Watching his journey from the outside was one thing, but living it? That’s a whole different story.
“It’s really a lot,” she shared. “Now I truly get it. I had no clue it would be this emotional.”
As many fans already know, Kim didn’t pass the July Bar exam. But real talk, that’s way more common than people realize. Plenty of brilliant minds don’t ace it on the first attempt. Still, she refused to let that setback define her journey.
She addressed it head-on in a social media post, writing:
“Well, I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV. Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far. Falling short isn’t failure – it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam, and that only motivates me even more. Let’s Go!!!!!!!!!!!”
And if anyone thought she was done? Think again.
So yeah, this journey has been painful, emotional, and definitely humbling. But Kim Kardashian is still in her bag, still hitting those books, and still chasing that Esquire title. Good thing she can take the bar as many times as she needs!
