Ray J took a brutal loss in his celebrity MMA debut Saturday night, getting knocked out by Supa Hot Fire in what turned out to be a short, painful introduction to combat sports.
The artist squared off with the popular YouTuber for just two rounds at Adin Ross’ UFC Apex event in Las Vegas, making for one of the evening’s most memorable moments, though probably not in the way Ray J had hoped.

In the second round, Ray had Supa pinned against the ropes, landing a few body shots. Then Supa responded with a hard right hook directly to Ray’s face. Ray crashed into the ropes before dropping to the canvas.
Ray managed to get back on his feet, but he was visibly dazed and had to sit down on his stool. The referee called it. Match over.
What came after the fight was stranger than the fight itself. During his post-match interview, Ray J suggested that he and Supa had some kind of arrangement beforehand, and that the unexpected knockout cost them both money. He didn’t elaborate, but the implication hung in the air.
The evening’s other co-main event saw former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel dispatch social media influencer Bob Menery in the first round, making quick work of what was supposed to be a closer matchup. Manziel’s victory gave the night a more predictable ending, at least.
