Ray J Says Tank Won VERZUZ Battle vs Tyrese

The latest VERZUZ battle between Tank and Tyrese has the internet talking—but Ray J didn’t waste any time picking sides… or throwing shots.

Even though he admitted he didn’t watch the full event, Ray J hopped on Instagram and confidently crowned Tank the winner, saying he could “feel” the outcome just from what he saw. Check out what people are saying about the VERZUZ battle all over social media.

“I think Tank won,” Ray J said. “I ain’t even finish watching it, but I can feel it.”

But it was his take on Tyrese that really turned heads.

Ray J went all in, calling Tyrese’s performance “trash” and even claiming it was worse than his own widely criticized VERZUZ appearance back in 2022. He pointed to what he described as nervous energy, calling out everything from Tyrese’s voice to his overall vibe on stage.

“I can feel the anxiety… the insecurity in his voice, his look, his mannerisms,” Ray J added. “Tyrese was completely trash.”

The comments didn’t stop there. Ray J continued doubling down, saying there are “more talented people” from Tyrese’s hometown of Watts, and doubled back again to say Tyrese’s performance was “worse” than his own—something fans definitely remember sparked backlash from his sister, Brandy, the last time around.

Still, not everyone agrees with Ray J’s harsh critique.

Plenty of fans online actually praised Tyrese’s performance, with some even saying he held his own against Tank. Meanwhile, Tyrese himself seemed unbothered—reportedly celebrating the night with a victory meal at In-N-Out and even crowning himself the winner.

As for Tank, he’s been getting love for his vocals and stage presence, with many viewers saying the battle was closer than Ray J made it seem.

One thing’s for sure—VERZUZ is doing what it always does: sparking debates, dividing fans, and keeping R&B conversations loud.
