Soulja Boy fired off a profanity-laced email to his baby mama’s lawyer, telling them exactly what he thought of their attempts to settle a custody dispute. Court documents obtained by BlkCosmo show the rapper didn’t hold back when responding to Jackilyn Martinez’s legal team.
The exchange started civilly enough. Soulja Boy had called Martinez to discuss the paternity suit she filed against him, and her legal team reached out afterward with a reasonable proposal. “Based on your conversation with Jackilyn, it sounds like you both want to resolve the lawsuit amicably, expeditiously, and privately,” the attorney wrote, asking him to have his lawyer contact hers.

Soulja’s response was anything but measured. The rapper replied with a string of insults, telling the lawyer to stop emailing him and making it clear he had no interest in settlement talks. His message included aggressive language and dismissal of the entire legal process.
Documents show the tone shift was dramatic, with Soulja claiming there would be “no litigation or settlement” and expressing confusion about who he was communicating with.
Martinez filed the suit in October 2025, seeking legal and physical custody of their 3-year-old son, KeAndre Way. She wasn’t looking to cut Soulja out entirely, noting she was open to him having visitation rights. She’s also seeking formal child support orders.
According to her paperwork, Martinez has shouldered most of the financial responsibility for their son. She claimed that Soulja “sometimes sends me money for our son, after I have begged him to do so,” painting a picture of inconsistent support. She also described him as becoming “extremely volatile” and said he’s been “intentionally preventing this matter from moving forward.”

Serving Soulja has proven challenging. Martinez attempted to deliver the legal documents at one of his concerts but wasn’t successful, adding another layer of complication to an already contentious situation.
As of now, Soulja hasn’t formally responded to the case. The email exchange does paint a picture of how contentious things have become between the two, with any hope of an amicable resolution seemingly off the table.
