Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 invites fans back into the eerie world that started it all, reimagined in the stark winter of 1985. The new animated series expands the beloved universe, following the original characters as they face chilling new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery that once again threatens to consume their town.
At the creative helm is showrunner and executive producer Eric Robles, whose visionary storytelling blends nostalgic flair with heart-pounding suspense. The series is produced by Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer and Hilary Leavitt through their banner Upside Down Pictures, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment. Together, this powerhouse team brings a fresh yet familiar energy to the animated frontier of Hawkins.
Animation is brought to life by Flying Bark Productions, the acclaimed studio known for dynamic visual worlds and character-driven storytelling. The series promises to capture the cinematic spirit of the original while embracing the stylistic freedom of animation inviting both longtime fans and new audiences into the expanding Stranger Things multiverse.
The voice cast features an exciting new generation of talent: Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper. Rounding out the ensemble are Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips, lending their voices to a world where the supernatural meets the nostalgic.
