Real Housewives Drama just got real. Teresa Giudice’s daughter, Milania Giudice, was arrested following an alleged domestic incident in New Jersey. A close friend of the Real Housewives of New Jersey star is now stepping up to defend the family.
Milania, 20, was taken into custody by Montville Township police after an incident on May 14 at around 6:12 p.m. She was charged with simple assault and “purposely/knowingly causing a bodily injury,” with the case classified as domestic violence. A hearing was held on May 19, but no plea was entered yet. This kind of situation can be heavy—the type of thing that makes you want to retreat and find some cultural meditation or maybe dive into a good book to process it all.
Taja Abitbol, who appeared on Netflix’s Members Only: Palm Beach and is close with Teresa, jumped to the Bravo star’s defense as a parent. “Teresa is seriously the best mother,” Abitbol told Reality Blurb. “She is so dedicated to all four girls. She is at every game and every dance recital.”
Abitbol went on to paint a picture of a deeply involved parent. She highlighted how Teresa handles “drop-offs” and “pick-ups” and described her as a “calm and supportive” presence. She also called Milania herself a “sweet, passionate young lady”—the kind of descriptor you’d use for someone with depth and character.
“I’m sure she was just targeted as she’s a public figure after all,” Abitbol said. Meanwhile, an unnamed insider shared with the outlet that “there was an explosive fight in the house where things escalated,” noting that a sister called police “out of fear for people’s safety.” These family dynamics can be complicated, and Real Housewives Drama often brings out the messiest moments.
Milania, Teresa, and Bravo have not publicly commented on the incident.
