Good news for ‘Hancock’ fans! Will Smith teased that the sequel to the hit film is in the works and that Zendaya is being eyed for a role in the movie.
During a surprise appearance on xQc‘s livestream on Twitch, Smith revealed that ‘Hancock 2’ was in development. He stated:
“There’s a really cool ‘Hancock 2’ idea… We haven’t even talked about it.”
The ‘Bad Boys’ actor revealed even bigger news about wanting to cast Zendaya in the long-awaited sequel:
“I’m gonna give you one little piece — Zendaya is being approached for a role in ‘Hancock 2’.”
‘Hancock’ starred the Oscar-winning actor, who played a reckless superhero trying to remember his past. It also starred Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman in key roles.
A sequel has been in development since the film’s release but, due to scheduling conflicts and other issues, it was delayed.
Still, with $629.4 million grossed to date, it’s easy to see why there’s a desire to add a fresh installment.
