Looks like there’s some heat brewing in the music streets! 🔥
City Girls rapper Yung Miami is calling out South African superstar Tyla, claiming the “Water” hitmaker stole her song concept. It’s giving old-school hip-hop beef, but with a 2024 twist!
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Yung Miami didn’t hold back, writing:
“This girl really ran off with my song and ion know how to feel about it. Mind you I played this song for this girl. Like… bitch I’m confused!”
The Miami native went on to point out the similarities between her unreleased track and Tyla’s newly dropped single “Chanel”, writing:
“Take me to Chanel > put me in Chanel.”
A fan later jumped in to clarify the situation, posting:
“PSA – It is Tyla! She has a new song called Chanel. The chorus is ‘Put me in Chanel, put me in Chanel.’”
Yung Miami quickly responded, doubling down with a bold “Let’s talk about it!!!!!” — clearly ready to let the world know what’s up. Sounds like sis is ready to defend her creative property! We love to see a Black woman stand up for herself.
While Tyla hasn’t responded yet, social media is already buzzing, with fans debating whether it’s a coincidence or if Yung Miami really got finessed out of a hit. Is this a case of parallel thinking, or is something else going on? We’re watching closely!
One thing’s for sure — if this turns into a full-on rap vs. pop showdown, the internet might just break again. 💅🏽💥
