Donald Trump Jokingly Threatens To Fire Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent Over Somali Fraud Cases Then Declares ‘Black People Love Trump, They Know A Scam Better Than Anybody’

Social media is buzzing after Donald Trump hit the rally circuit, making some truly wild statements. Not only did he jokingly threaten to fire his Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, but he boldly declared, “Black people love Trump, they know a scam better than anybody.” Honey, the internet had thoughts.

On Tuesday, December 9, Trump was in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, kicking off his campaign efforts for the 2026 midterm elections. During his stop, Donald Trump, in his signature style, aimed a playful jab at his Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent.

He issued a direct warning to Bessent, tying it into the alleged Minnesota Somali fraud scandal. Trump continued his call for prosecutions, even suggesting consequences for his own Cabinet member. Here’s what he said:

[Joe] Biden and the radical left Democrats turned Pennsylvania into a dumping ground for hundreds of thousands of migrants from the most dysfunctional places on earth, like Somalia, and gave them billions and billions of your taxpayer dollars. But we didn’t really give it. It was stolen. And those people should go to jail! Jail! And if they don’t go to jail, Scott Bessent is toast! He’s toast!

I’ll tell you, that could be the easiest case. I think it’s too easy for you. Just give it to your assistants. They can do that case. These people are crooks. They don’t work. 91% unemployment. Okay?”

Donald Trump Slams Congresswoman Ilhan Omar And Brother Amid Claims She ‘Married Brother To Get Into America’

The former president then shifted gears, bringing up his ongoing beef with Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who is a native of Somalia. He referenced the persistent allegations claiming she “married her brother” to gain entry into America, stating:

“It’s a scam and it’s headed up by the crooked Congresswoman. What ever happened to her brother by the way? Is he still around? Yeah he went low. He’s not happy. Would you like into him too, Scott? Would you find out [about] the brother, please?”

And then, the pièce de résistance. Trump seemed to mock Omar for calling out his “discriminatory” and “anti-Somali” remarks. He then made his now-viral declaration:

“She said, ‘How dare you say that about me? It’s discrimination.’ Let me tell you something, Black people love Trump. I got the biggest vote. I got the biggest vote with Black people! They know a scam better than anybody. They know what it is to be scammed … We got a tremendous Black vote. We got a tremendous Hispanic vote. ‘Cause we speak the truth. They get it. Everybody gets it. Pretty much everybody gets it.”
