Lil Uzi Vert And Roc Nation Sued By Former Assistant Alleging Sexual Harassment And Labor Violations
To recap, court documents show that Jane Doe (as she’s being called) filed her case against Uzi (born Symere Bysil Woods) back on October 20, 2025. Her attorney, Ellis George, submitted the complaint in Los Angeles, naming Roc Nation LLC, and Uzi’s company, Uzivert LLC, as defendants.
The allegations are serious: discrimination, employment violations, sexual harassment, and wage/hour issues. The suit claims that the Roc Nation artist subjected his former assistant to ongoing sexual harassment via text and inappropriate comments.
Reportedly, Uzi expected his assistant to be available around the clock, even during extensive travel. The suit also alleges that she worked long shifts (12-39 hours) without overtime, and wasn’t reimbursed for business expenses she paid out-of-pocket.
She further claims that Uzi made her work for free for his girlfriend, City Girls‘ JT (Jatavia Shakara Johnson).
Lil Uzi Vert Allegedly Sent Explicit Texts To Former Female Assistant
Doe says she reported her burnout and requested a performance review, but management allegedly ignored her concerns, despite Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez‘s promise. Ultimately, the assistant claims the hostile work environment and alleged drug-fueled retaliation led her to resign in April 2025.
The explicit texts Uzi allegedly sent include:
- “Come rub me down before you leave.”
- “I’m by myself right now send me something.”
- “You’re more than my assistant. You’re my b*tch.”
Former Lil Uzi Vert And Roc Nation Assistant Files To Dismiss Sexual Harassment And Labor Violations Lawsuit Without Prejudice 17 Days After Submitting
The lawsuit sought compensatory and punitive damages from Roc Nation, Uzi, and his companies, citing emotional distress, financial loss, and systemic abuse tolerated by his management team.
While a case management conference was initially set for March 25, 2026, it seems Doe’s attorney filed to dismiss the case “without prejudice” on November 6, just over two weeks after filing. This leaves the door open for her to refile the case later. This legal move can also protect communications made during settlement negotiations from being used as evidence in court.
The document in question requests dismissal of the complaint against “Roc Nation LLC, et al.” The “et al” stands for “et alia” or “et alii,” which is Latin for “and others.”
As of the time of this writing, the Superior Court online docket still showed the latest update as of October 27, despite the dismissal request.
