Lil Wayne is engaged! The Grammy-winning rapper reportedly popped the question to an Indiana woman earlier this year, and we’re here for the love story.
According to TMZ, Wayne, 43 (born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.), hasn’t publicly confirmed the engagement yet. His fiancée is reportedly in her 20s, but she’s keeping her privacy tight—and honestly, we respect that energy. What we do know is that Lil Wayne has had quite the romantic journey over the years.
The “Lollipop” rapper was previously married to Toya Johnson from 2004 to 2006. Since then, he’s had several high-profile relationships and engagements. He was once engaged to singer Nivea and model La’Tecia Thomas. He also dated model Denise Bidot for two years. And back in 2011, Lauren London revealed she’d been briefly engaged to the rapper too.
Lauren London once reflected on their connection, saying: “I met Dwayne when I was 15 years old. I’ve known him a very long time, and we were in a relationship that didn’t make it. We tried more than once to revive it, and we were engaged briefly years ago, but we eventually parted ways. People see the ‘Lil’ Wayne’ persona and think they know who he really is. My son’s father is an intelligent, loving and lovable person who will always be a dear friend. That is all,” she shared with VIBE.
Right now, Wayne is focused on his music and what’s next. He’s been teasing new material for fans eager to hear fresh tracks.
“Tha Carter VII is coming soon,” Wayne announced recently. “I’m not sure if we going to just name my next album Tha Carter VII, but I got albums coming as well. But I got music for days.” Clearly, the legendary rapper isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
