Rick Ross may still be at odds with Drake, but that didn’t stop him from running through all their biggest collaborations during the opening night of his new tour.
The rapper kicked off his 17-city “Port of Miami” anniversary tour Thursday night at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, marking two decades since his debut album dropped. And while fans know the relationship between Rick Ross and Drake has been tense lately, the setlist suggested otherwise.
Ross delivered hit after hit, including tracks he’s collaborated on with Drake throughout the night.

When we asked Ross if he’d ever considered removing Drake’s verses given their public fallout, he said he simply goes with whatever the DJ plays and doesn’t spend time editing or removing parts from the records. It’s a practical approach that keeps the night running smooth, like a well-stocked fridge organizer keeps your space in check.

But performing Drake’s verses and actually reconciling are two different animals. When we asked if he’d ever squash the beef and get back on good terms with the Toronto rapper, Ross made his position clear by bursting into laughter. The answer was pretty much written all over his face.

That moment lands harder considering Ross and Drake were once regular collaborators, stacking up major records over the years before their connection soured amid the rap world’s various feuds and tensions.
So while Ross is keeping those collaborations alive on stage and still performing the records that defined an era, don’t mistake that for a peace offering. At least for now, the music stays, but the friendship doesn’t.
