‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ Star Keiarna Stewart Once Filed for Bankruptcy — Just Two Years Before Flaunting Her “Wealth” on TV

Word on the street is that
    Keiarna Stewart,
the fresh face on The Real Housewives of Potomac, hasn’t always lived the champagne lifestyle we see on TV.

Before she was holding a full-time spot on Bravo, Keiarna’s financial situation was looking a little different. Court documents dug up by Media Take Out show that she filed for
Chapter 7 bankruptcy just a couple of years back. Talk about a plot twist!

From “Friend of the Housewives” to Full-Time Star

Keiarna hopped onto The Real Housewives of Potomac in Season 8 as a “Friend of the Housewives.” People were vibing with her confidence, her charm, and the way she talked about being a successful businesswoman in the DMV.

For Season 9, Bravo bumped her up to full-time status. Suddenly, she’s rocking a luxury wardrobe, throwing lavish parties, and just owning the screen. But it turns out, there’s more to the story than meets the eye.

Court Documents Tell a Different Story

According to those federal bankruptcy filings that Media Take Out got their hands on, Keiarna filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2023. That’s usually what folks do when they’ve used up most of their assets.

Reportedly, she listed total debts of nearly $500,000, including business loans, and about $75,000 in credit-card balances. Oh, and she disclosed that she owned no real estate at the time.

Her assets? A 2021 Range Rover valued at around $46,000, but she still owed $82,000 on it. Besides that, she reported having $200 in cash and less than $2,000 combined in her bank accounts and stocks.

The bankruptcy was finalized in June 2023, and the court wiped out all her listed debts.

    Timing Raises Eyebrows

Here’s where it gets interesting. Media Take Out confirmed that Keiarna was filming The Real Housewives of Potomac around the same time her bankruptcy was being finalized.

On camera, she was giving off major boss vibes – hosting parties, rocking designer outfits, and talking about her big plans.

The contrast has fans online doing what they do best – buzzing. People are wondering if her upcoming storylines on RHOP will address her financial comeback, or if they’re going to skip right over that part.
