In the clip making its rounds, Washington, joined by his wife Alisah Chanel, rolls up to Renner’s spot while the fitness queen is hanging with her mom. Little PJ Jr. is handed off, tears and all, backpack in tow. That’s when Renner let Washington know, “This what we not doing.”
Renner, who we all remember from “Basketball Wives,” basically accused Washington of not being emotionally present for their son. She stated, “This is the third time he’s cried while being handed off. He doesn’t want to go with you. So actually show up and do something with him, ‘cause he does this every time.” Ouch.
Washington clapped back, saying Renner and her mom were “babying” the child – an accusation they quickly denied. The back-and-forth escalated, with Renner vowing to record “every single time” her son cries during these exchanges. Washington, not backing down, fired back with some harsh words aimed at Renner and her mother.
Things got even more heated when Renner’s mom accused Washington of splurging on his wife while not stepping up financially for their grandson. Alisah jumped into the mix with her own fiery response. The clip ends right as things looked like they were about to escalate into something physical.
Washington and Renner, who brought PJ Jr. into the world in 2021, have been navigating a rocky co-parenting journey since their split. Washington later married Alisah Chanel in 2023, and they now share two sons, Preston and Paxton. Meanwhile, Renner briefly tied the knot with rapper Kevin Gates earlier this year, but they called it quits after just 52 days.
Social media is definitely having a field day with this confrontation, with fans split. Some are siding with Renner, concerned about her son’s distress, while others feel Washington is being unfairly targeted in what’s clearly a complicated co-parenting battle. The struggle is real, y’all.
