Here’s what went down. The stabbing occurred in 2025 at a Texas high school track meet after a dispute escalated. Anthony admitted to the stabbing but claimed self-defense—an argument the jury rejected. Prosecutors painted it differently, with First Assistant District Attorney Bill Wirskye telling jurors: “This case has nothing to do with race. This case has nothing to do with self-defense.
