DaBaby‘s ex DaniLeigh’s brother took the stand with a story about what went down before their bowling alley fight. According to his deposition testimony, the rapper allegedly made it clear things were headed in a violent direction.

In court documents obtained by BlkCosmo, DaniLeigh’s brother Brandon Curiel, who performs as Brandon Bill$, laid out his side of the story. He said he’d been publicly feuding with DaBaby over how the rapper treated his sister online, claiming the artist was “humiliating her” and airing family business on the internet. When confronted about their beef, Brandon said he fired back, making it known they’d handle it face-to-face when they crossed paths. The exchange didn’t stay private either, blogs picked up the back-and-forth.

Fast forward to the bowling alley. Brandon testified that DaBaby approached him while he was talking to Swae Lee. When DaBaby asked to holla at him real quick, Brandon declined to walk over and instead told him to come closer if he wanted to talk.

That’s when things escalated. According to the deposition, DaBaby said, “I just want to slap you up a bit. I just want to slap you around a little bit.” Pretty clear signal about what was about to happen.

Brandon claimed DaBaby threw the first punch, which sparked a chain reaction. People from DaBaby’s crew jumped in, and in the chaos, Brandon says someone even grabbed one of his gold hoop earrings off his chain.

Brandon sued DaBaby over the incident that went down at the L.A. bowling alley in 2022. The rapper’s legal team countered by arguing Brandon was actually the one who started things, not their client. The case got dismissed briefly before being brought back, and as of now, no final ruling has been handed down.
