Jay-Z‘s second night of his three shows at Yankee Stadium wasn’t without incident. Two fans got into it with security guards and were restrained and escorted away during the performance.
The legendary rapper took the stage at the Bronx ballpark on Saturday night. When Jay-Z brought out Alicia Keys to perform “Empire State of Mind,” things escalated between the fans and security.
Exclusive video obtained by BlkCosmo shows one fan rising from the ground surrounded by security. Once on his feet, he punches a security officer in the face before multiple guards take him away.
A second fan was seen lying on the ground with one security guard kneeling to restrain him. He was also escorted from the venue.
According to sources, the incident started over two fans sitting in unassigned seats and blocking views for other attendees. When those behind them complained and security arrived, the men refused to move. The situation escalated from there.
The shows have drawn a steady stream of celebrity attendees. Eminem joined Jay on stage for the first two nights, alongside Fat Joe, LeBron James, Megan Thee Stallion, Kevin Hart, Ice Spice, DJ Khaled, Jadakiss, and Knicks’ NBA Finals hero OG Anunoby.
Jay-Z opened the three-night “Reasonable Doubt” 30th anniversary series with Beyoncé giving him a fresh cut in the Yankee Stadium stands on Friday—a moment that set the tone for what would be an eventful celebration.
ROC Nation announced the Yankee Stadium dates in March, marking both the 30th anniversary of his debut album “Reasonable Doubt” and the 25th anniversary of “The Blueprint.”
Jay kept fans guessing about what to expect from the shows, though he couldn’t avoid BlkCosmo’s cameras when we caught up with him in New York City last month.
The final show at Yankee Stadium takes place tonight.
