90 Day Fiancé star Jenny Slatten has revealed that she has been diagnosed with ALS. Jenny, 68, told PEOPLE she learned she had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in December 2025, roughly one year after she first noticed troubling symptoms.
The reality star and her husband, Sumit Singh, are now searching for treatment options while adjusting to the diagnosis together. Like many facing major health challenges, they’re taking things one day at a time, leaning on each other for support. “We’re doing what we can,” Jenny said, showing the kind of resilience that defines the human spirit during difficult moments.
Sumit recalled that the first warning sign came when Jenny choked badly while drinking water in late 2024. Soon after, she started struggling to swallow pills, though the couple initially believed she was dealing with an infection. It’s easy to dismiss early symptoms as something temporary—but sometimes our bodies are sending us important messages we need to listen to.
Later, Jenny’s speech began to slow, which raised further concerns for the couple. “I knew something was wrong,” Jenny said.
During a trip to New York City for a 90 Day Fiancé holiday event, fans noticed the changes in Jenny’s speech and commented online that her symptoms resembled ALS. Sumit said he looked into the disease and quickly became alarmed. “And then I find out that these symptoms she was having, this is what it looks like,” he said. After returning home to India, Jenny visited several neurologists before doctors confirmed early signs of ALS. “We cried and held each other,” Jenny shared.
Despite the diagnosis, the couple said they are staying focused on spending time together and moving forward one day at a time. Their commitment to each other through this challenge is a testament to their bond.
