Ryan Prows is back, and his new movie <em>Night Patrol</em> looks like a wild ride! The trailer is here, and let's just say it's not your typical cop flick. We're talking gritty streets, bloody encounters, and a heavy dose of social commentary, all wrapped up in a ferocious vampire twist.
Mark your calendars for January 16, 2026, because that's when this ensemble cast – featuring Jermaine Fowler, Justin Long, RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, CM Punk, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux – hits theaters.
<em>Night Patrol</em> centers on an LAPD officer who's forced to team up with the street gangs he's always tried to stay away from. Why? Because he stumbles upon a police task force hiding a monstrous secret that puts the residents of his childhood housing project in danger. The trailer gives us a taste of horror, street politics, and non-stop suspense – a genre cocktail we've been craving on the big screen.
RLJE Films and Shudder snapped up the North American rights to the film right before its world premiere at the 2025 Fantastic Fest. Mark Ward from RLJE Films described it as "an audacious, high-stakes horror-thriller with a powerhouse ensemble cast and heart-pounding tension," calling the acquisition a "dream-realized moment."
Prows directs from a script he co-wrote with Shaye Ogbonna (<em>The Penguin</em>), Tim Cairo (<em>Off Ramp</em>), and Jake Gibson (<em>He Bled Neon</em>) – a creative team that clearly gets gritty world-building and authentic genre storytelling. And behind the scenes, we've got heavy hitters like David S. Goyer and Keith Levine from Phantom Four, James Harris from Tea Shop Films, and Josh Goldbloom, with executive producers from XYZ Films, Bondit, and even <a href="https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=black%20cosmopolitan%20%2B%20%22YG%22">YG</a> himself.
"It's been a long road to get here, and we couldn't have asked for a better team to help push this rollercoaster of a film out into the world," Prows shared.
So, get ready for blood, chaos, unlikely alliances, and a fresh take on the vampire mythos when <em>Night Patrol</em> premieres exclusively in theaters on January 16, 2026.
