Diddy’s Prison Date Delayed Amid Pampered Life Claims

Diddy‘s countdown to freedom just hit a speed bump. Federal Bureau of Prisons records now show his release date has been pushed back over six weeks, from January 21, 2028 to March 2, 2028.
The timing feels worth examining. The delay comes just after reports surfaced claiming Diddy had been receiving what could generously be called preferential treatment behind bars at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
NBC News reported that the music mogul allegedly had access to a contraband cellphone and alcohol while also paying other inmates to cook him meals, give him massages, and handle his chores. Those reports prompted prison officials to send him back to solitary confinement, where he remains according to People.
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transporting people across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted on the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
His originally scheduled release had been set for June 2028, so even with this six-week setback, he’s still looking at a release date nearly four years earlier than that. His release date has shifted a few times since his sentencing, but the current March 2028 timeline remains the operative target.
Whether the delay reflects disciplinary measures related to the solitary confinement incident or other prison administrative adjustments remains unclear. What is clear is that Diddy’s incarceration has continued to generate headlines, from legal maneuvering to prison conduct issues.
