Biles’ facts were a mix of fun and seriously interesting. She casually mentioned having had “three plastic surgeries,” and she spilled the tea in the comments about the two surprising ones that most folks wouldn’t even notice. Biles also let us know she only started doing her own laundry *after* moving out of her family home – relatable! She also mentioned gymnastics is the only sport she’s ever tried, and that her actual height is a petite 4’8″.
But here’s the kicker: Biles revealed that, aside from her husband Jonathan Owens, she’s only ever dated one other person!
“Jonathan is only my second relationship,” she said.
So, who was the lucky guy before Owens? According to Parade, it was fellow gymnast Stacey Ervin Jr.
Many remember the story of how Biles and Owens connected. It all started in March 2020 via the exclusive dating app Raya, right at the beginning of the pandemic. Biles made the first move, sliding into Owens’ DMs after spotting his profile. Owens, who later admitted he didn’t initially recognize Biles (no shade!), saw her follower count and thought, “OK, she’s got to be good.” Soon after, he accepted an invitation from her family, according to ABC News, and the rest is history.
