Soulja Boy‘s ex-girlfriend is making a move to have his music royalties sold off to collect on a multi-million dollar judgment against him, according to court documents obtained by BlkCosmo.
A woman who started as his assistant before entering a two-year romantic relationship with the rapper has filed notice of her intent to sell Soulja Boy‘s rights to collect music residuals from Broadcast Music. She’s planning to auction those rights to the highest bidder.
Filed under a pseudonym, the notice states the sale will proceed unless Soulja objects.
The nearly $4 million judgment came after a jury trial found the musician liable for sexual battery, infliction of emotional distress, and related claims. At the time, Soulja’s legal team disputed the outcome, stating the evidence didn’t support the verdict.
According to her lawsuit, the relationship took a violent turn. She alleged the “Crank Dat” rapper confined her to a room without food for days.
Soulja denied all allegations. He acknowledged the relationship existed but claimed he hired her to roll his blunts.
The jury sided with his ex, and now she’s pursuing collection of the judgment through his music income stream.
